Theater De Muze
Theatre de Muze (“The Muse”) describes itself as the “cultural heart” of Noordwijk, a Dutch town famous for the European Space Agency. While the ESA explores science, Theatre de Muze explores the arts, combining theatre, live music and cinema in one striking building. We provided de Muze with a new visual identity, underpinned by our belief that simplicity leads to surprise. Curiosity drove insight: For the most part, de Muze resembles other hybrid spaces, except in one vital respect. Location. Specifically, it’s two streets from the beach.
Plus the beach
So while a particular play or movie may draw crowds, the real offering is a great movie plus the beach, or a musical plus the sunset. Which is why we created an abstract identity inspired by the sinking sun. This approach encompassed all touchpoints, including tickets and stationery. On the website, we brought it to life via a sun-based gradient that adjusts to the time of day.
